Valoraciones & Críticas

  1. Bob's rating of the film El viento se levanta

Story is more classically structured than Miyazaki’s other highlights, but that doesn’t mean there’s not a decent amount of daydreaming. And the dreams of yesterday slowly turn into the nightmare of today - where engineer’s passion is used as a nursery garden for the land of dead, and purity of young lovers is just a memory. But, overall bitter-sweetness never allows happiness or sorrow to shine in their true form.

  4. Dada Kubin's rating of the film El viento se levanta

Miyazaki’s swan song (if it shall remain as such) is dedicated to working passion, the imagination and dedicatedness of a visionary airplane engineer. The whole character feels like it could be the alter ego of Miyazaki himself, and that his animations are realised dreams similar to the fighters enigneered by Jirō. A work of great patience and handcraft.

  5. Erica Narduzzi's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  6. Carmen's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  7. Joaquín Font's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  8. lofisofi's rating of the film El viento se levanta

tragic tale about how the labor of artists become tools of imperialism. i cried for an hour after watching it and then cry every time i hear the ending song, which is often because YouTube keeps thinking it's a good idea to suggest it to me

  9. Diogo Moreira's rating of the film El viento se levanta

Very different from Miyazaki's previous works once it does not involve "fantastic" elements (the only unreal elements are the ones from Jiro's dreams). The Wind Rises is a celebration of inovation and creativity, one that's sorry about our ability to destroy in the most poetic way possible.

  10. Jdsarmientoburgos's rating of the film El viento se levanta

A little drier than regular Miyazaki but still with phenomenal animation. At least it finally earned him the recognition and respect he deserves overseas.

  11. Fabio Osvaldo Carta's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  12. Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film El viento se levanta

Biography and personal project movie has tons of passion and dreams pored into every frame though the ending may feel a little too abrupt removing the film from the harder facts of life later on in the story.

  13. seakat's rating of the film El viento se levanta

It's not only boring but sad

  14. Samuel Righi's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  15. Ben Nash's rating of the film El viento se levanta

Daring and beautiful. So typical Miyazaki.

  16. Razna_'s rating of the film El viento se levanta

Damn you, Miyazaki, what a tearjerker.

  17. Gabe's rating of the film El viento se levanta

Incredibly beautiful and well paced. I loved the characters. The only thing that didn't sit right was the ending with his wife.

  18. Elise Stambul's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  19. FISCHER's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  20. Marina C.'s rating of the film El viento se levanta

Sadly, this film didn't do it for me as much as any other of Miyazaki's craft-wonders... I didn't relate at all to the character or felt much empathy for him; tho, I was very sad for Nahoko and for what I felt, most times, as self-centeredness from Jiro. And maybe this is only to me but Miyazaki's anti-war message got a bit lost here - but nothing beats Nausicaa in that sense.

  21. Luca Angelini's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  22. ramasantputra's rating of the film El viento se levanta

This historical-melodrama swansong film is both dramatic and dreamlike, a very honest one from The Legendary Hayao Miyazaki

  23. Ana Patrícia's rating of the film El viento se levanta

  24. smndvdcl's rating of the film El viento se levanta

Rather formulaic for Miyazaki, but indicative of his love of planes. He is at his best when pushing the envelope instead of simply embracing the studio archetype. Nonetheless, this is disciplined, articulate narrative cinema with historical verve and a depth of creation representative of a master of the craft.
