Reseñas críticas

The darkest of the [Battles] series, and ostensibly a feature-length mano-a-mano between the two men, it brilliantly captures Fukusaku and Kasahara’s personal obsessions, delving deeply into the damaged and traumatized postwar psyche of Japan, once again suggesting the dispiriting reality that it’s impossible for either character to have much of a shot at survival, let alone success.
