This is a celebration of the visual thaumaturgy acheived by animating onto the surface of film, by the hand manipulation of found footage, black or clear leader. Fingerpainting or scratching away at negative space, this is filmmaking at its most primitive and tactile, the efflorescence of the subconscious. Grab some leader and a sharpie and let your creativity unspool! A little Brakhage-whackage now and again never hurt anyone.
