I tend to call them the video rental shop days. And whenever I think of them, there is some nostalgia. But I am thankful I got to live like that.
The obsession started around 1999. The late-nineties were very strange for me and my family. But we overcame. I did, at least, I think. Lucky for me, I had some things to hold on. I grew up surrounded by books and I held to them in those times of turmoil. Music (o, Music!) was even a stronger friend. And then came cinema.
Film was like the summum of all that seemed good in my world: stories, aesthetics, music. Dialogue and action....
