At his wedding to Ie-hwa, Ji-won receives the order to become the royal son-in-law. In the end, Ji-won is unable to disobey the order and he marries the princess. But he cannot forget Ie-hwa so they have a secret affair. Ie-hwa is distraught by the situation and ultimately kills herself.
