Link of the day

Daniel Kasman
Continuing their forays into advanced online criticism, Andy Horbal (of Mirror/Stage) and Kevin Lee (of Shooting Down Pictures) have produced a unique film. Collaborating remotely, with Kevin in New York and Andy in Philadelphia, the two have come together over the internet to construct a video essay analyzing a particular scene in Nikita Mikhailkov's Burnt by the Sun (1994). This is the future of online criticism, and it is great to see two of the very best online critics working together to push the technological and critical boundaries of film. The video can be seen here.
