Trying to avoid an overly ardent suitor, young schoolteacher Anne Gladden jumps into his car and drives off, not realizing there’s a murdered gangster in the trunk. As both a group of thugs and the cops trail her, she meets a handsome man on the road who could be either a scoundrel or her savior.
