Vietnam vet John Rubin returns to New York and rents a rundown flat in Greenwhich Village. In his flat he begins to film, ‘Peeping Tom’ style, people in the apartment across the street. Things get tough when he takes part in a happening play Be Baby Black where the spectators are coated in black.
