J. Lee Thompson United States, 1983

Matt Reddick's rating of the film 10 to Midnight

The level of violence was a little surprising - the plot is like a stew of Richard Speck, Ted Bundy, and the Dirty Harry-Scorpio killer with Bronson channeling Callahan, including sermons. A couple guffaws escaped as the absurdity got to be too much (ie the toast popping up after a stabbing.)
