J. Lee Thompson United States, 1983

HKFanatic's rating of the film 10 to Midnight

The specter of late 20th century serial killers like Richard Speck haunts "10 to Midnight," a standard Charles Bronson vehicle that is emboldened by "Cape Fear" director J. Lee Thompson's technical prowess and a quite realistic depiction of Gene Davis' misogynist murderer. At times it feels as though Bronson has been plopped down in the middle of an Eighties slasher, a novelty in itself, and the ending is a knockout.
