  4. mpho3's rating of the film 56 Up

I pledge allegiance to this series, but some installments are more riveting than others. The big shocker for me is that at 56, most of these folks are starting to look old. As I'm not so far off that age, I couldn't help but periodically turn to glance at my own face in the mirror. Yet by 56 most of them have a confidence that is born of age. I look more forward to that than the grey and wrinkles. 3.5

  5. Øyvind Rype's rating of the film 56 Up

"We might say that "56 Up" serves much the same function of "Amour," but it responds to the inevitability of decline with compassion, not dread." - John Beifuss
