Over the course of one night, a woman drives across LA with her heroin addict brother in search of a detox center, with his two year old daughter in tow.
Worth seeing for an astonishing Abbi Jacobson. The running drowning motif was a little too heavy-handed for my taste. But overall fairly gripping and harrowing at times.
i did love the self help tape commentary but not the repeated water. emotionally drowning metaphors cringe me out
harrowing and well acted but not a good film or a good watch
felt like it tried a bit hard (the chapter narrations and overkill on the lens flare and transitioning pretty shots) buuuuuut did make me cry so ...
