  • Jason's rating of the film 69 Minutes of 86 Days

69 MINUTES immediately reminded me of Akerman's FROM THE EAST. The extraordinary traveling shots here, however, shot as they seem to be w/ Steadicam or something like it, are embedded in the environment they traverse, and we very quickly, in this movie whose forward march invokes the biblical exodus (which of course our modern refugee crisis invokes), begin to follow a young girl who may make you cry, as she did me.
