Our take

Did we say Argento was our favorite? He’s given a run for his money by Mario Bava. A Bay of Blood, possibly Bava’s most influential film, was too intense for audiences in 1971 (and some today), but remains a landmark of the “slasher” genre and an essential flick for horror buffs.
