Ratings & Reviews

  1. José Neves's rating of the film A Child in the Crowd

4,5. The sentimental education of a young man by mid-twentieth century, his existence in a world he belongs only as an opaque passenger. In strict frontal, crepuscular, frames, with Bressonian models-actors and sound, is built a formal system that structure's a life of an extraordinary character beyond moral. A beautiful austere film that returns us to intimacy of a cinema outside the ordinary rules of provability.

  2. Slowart's rating of the film A Child in the Crowd

the best movie bresson hasn't directed - coming-of-age amorality tale reminiscent of bressonian later allegories of hell / ruthless elliptical montage / perfect ending with profound echo /

  3. Rio Johan's rating of the film A Child in the Crowd

Interesting subject about living in such wartime. The unanswered contexts is what make this film interesting.
