  1. waywardwaters's rating of the film A Confucian Confusion

With this work, the brighter side of a comedic duology brimming with double entendres, Yang shatters two AIDS-ridden fowls (American egalitarian democracy and Chinese Confucian hypocrisy) with one stone. What may be the most impressive is his ability to wade past the cesspool of egregious conformity and chicanery to conserve an optimistic flicker for humanity, warming soup for the suicidal cubist's “soul.”

  3. adrianmendizabal's rating of the film A Confucian Confusion

I love the ending. :'( I could have rated it four, but the ending take it away. "Feel like a coffee on Friday's"

  4. PolarisDiB's rating of the film A Confucian Confusion

Yang's direction is very dextrous, this is a worthy movie to see just to see how it moves and balances multiple characters. Was not a fan of the intertitles (same thing happened to me with In the Mood for Love, must be a personal preference I'm discovering) and sometimes I think the characters' emotions could have used a bit more reserve, but otherwise, a fun and interesting film.
