Produced by Glauber Rocha, it's a film that fits the "new cinema" beginnings, of which the Portuguese "Dom Roberto" by painter Ernesto de Sousa is comparable in moment, style and intentions. A simple portrait of a group of marginals in a marginal area of a great city, it's too simple and crude in its construction, being worth mainly by the cinematography and the capacity of insertion in the real spaces and people.
