  1. Sơn Phước's rating of the film A Hard Day

Interesting at first but lost my concern at the end!

  2. FISCHER's rating of the film A Hard Day

  3. cin·aes·the·tic's rating of the film A Hard Day

A reasonably entertaining film, which doesn't rise very far (if at all) from the usual tropes of the genre. As long as you're expecting a hard-boiled crime-not-crime thriller with a few ridiculous (indeed, almost cartoonish) plot twists and turns, you won't be disappointed. By the same measure, if you're not a fan of snoop-snoop bang-bang action with an 'Eddie Murphy meets Mel Gibson' protagonist, keep your distance.

  4. brick_bro's rating of the film A Hard Day

Expertly paced early on, with superb thriller moments that hold their own, but unfortunately the final act is a bit cheesy and undoes much of the seriousness the rest of the film established.

  5. Dory Bakiewicz Ehmer's rating of the film A Hard Day

dope suspense that never stops but still makes time for some Shostakovich, and lots of references to food! Would love a bayou re-make please, Mr. Cage!

  6. Jefferson Yahom's rating of the film A Hard Day

fun as hell and pretty thrilling

  7. caitlin.f's rating of the film A Hard Day

solid thriller. nothing amazing but held my attention.

  8. Marco Della Motta's rating of the film A Hard Day

  9. David R Williams's rating of the film A Hard Day

Strange dark comedy thriller that is both and yet neither. An interesting hybrid - worth a view for those looking for something a bit off kilter.

  10. Honeychurch's rating of the film A Hard Day

This movie clearly transpires over more than just one day.

  11. Nick Potter's rating of the film A Hard Day

Thoroughly enjoyable South Korean action thriller that admittedly has a better beginning than an end. It's much more interesting when the focus is just the poor decisions and repercussions of one man, though the addition of a physical villain does not ruin the film. The acting is great, and the action is even better. Fantastic ride.

  12. lolamera's rating of the film A Hard Day

  13. Em Kim's rating of the film A Hard Day

Initially this movie presented a fast-paced attention grabbing plot but the rest of it fell into a series of diminishing returns. Thankfully, it was straightforward and while overdone, easy to follow. There are several excellently done "edge of your seat" moments that happen throughout and manage to keep your attention for most of the experience. The actors are convincing and manage some nice occasional humor.

  14. Hao Wang's rating of the film A Hard Day

Definitely one of the more interesting thriller films I have seen. besides the comedy, the development of this film derives from one another. Definitely worth a watch.

  15. johnfmorton's rating of the film A Hard Day

A fun movie, especially the first half. The ending became a bit predictable, but it's still worth watching.

  16. Steve G.'s rating of the film A Hard Day

  17. Maurizio Viano's rating of the film A Hard Day

We [and there's five of us who watched this] give one star since it's impossible not to give any. A typical, usual Korean "genre" accomplishment where the surprises are predictable and the production value is oh so-impressive. MUBI was born to cater to auteur cinema fans and is dishing out crap.

  18. Morris Bros.'s rating of the film A Hard Day

  19. Ben Loory's rating of the film A Hard Day

well directed but mindless and by the end pretty boring

  20. Marc of Toronto's rating of the film A Hard Day

    This is an accurately-named film.

  21. Alvin Case's rating of the film A Hard Day

Good is not great. Competent is not exceptional. This film is a good example of the frustrations I have sometimes with South Korean films. The filmmakers on the peninsula have learned much from their cousins across the water in Japan. But the stainless-steel finish of this film can't hide the anemia of its reliance on plot and tone without the poetry. Wonderful exceptions, thankfully, come our way annually.

  22. /katia's rating of the film A Hard Day

  23. Palmat's rating of the film A Hard Day

A sometimes exhilarating and sometimes derivative thriller with a juicy set-up that is sadly squandered in the third reel. But everything up to that keeps this movie rolling with confidence and purpose. The acting is pretty spot on and while the tone veers close to dark comedy a bit too much for my taste I enjoyed it nevertheless.
