Ratings & Reviews

  1. Michael Peer's rating of the film A Midsummer Night's Dream

I'd rather have a director who doesn't know Shakespeare as opposed to a director who knows Shakespeare -- but doesn't know filmmaking. We have a case of the latter. This may be the most visionless, uncinametic, and painfully boring Shakespeare adaption of all time. The director even said that there was no time for rehearsals, and it shows. There is 0 conviction in the entire film and it all stems for the direction.
