Yet another entry in the 'comedy without laughs' genre. Besides a few somewhat amusing bits this one falls flat and wears out its welcome very quickly. Charlize Theron the only performer of note with even Silverman and NPG failing to elicit any giggles. Macfarlane really does great voice work but he lacks the charisma or even likability for leading man status. Best bit must be the awe for the dollar bill however.
holy fuckery. what a car crash. guess that should be horse crash as the wild west. every joke is excruciating and they are the best bit in it. the shmaltz in vomity and seth, genius family guy though he is, cannot act or direct live action.
I'll give it three stars, what the heck. I think the film started of strong, but then began to sag and ultimately became long and drawn out. The screenplay remains unpredictable as does the fates of many of its characters (specifically the supporting who we hardly see). I think the idea was there, but the execution ultimately could have been better.
