  1. Alexine Chanel's rating of the film A Secret

for once the film version of a book doesn't disappoint. moving story, seamless storytelling.

  2. Epinephrin's rating of the film A Secret

Cinematography and the french scenery are great. The first part of the film suits the title very well. The story in story in story technique is a bit confusing in the beginning but well done. I liked that the present is BW. However the last 1/3 part is disappointing and not very believable. I didnt like the performances of de France and Bruel, especially in the last 1/3.

  3. kidbrother's rating of the film A Secret

I´m sorry to say that I stopped watching not even half way in. I found it very dry and wooden even for a movie that was adapted from a novel.

A moving story, with little sentimentality, and much to ponder for those who look for absolute rights and wrongs

Claude Miller’s “Un Secret (A Secret)” is a Holocaust family drama that is beautifully shot and undeniably moving. http://pixelatedpopcorn.blogspot.com/
