It's a ridiculous melodrama where Bette Davis ends up with the boring Glenn Ford and everyone's supposed to be happy. I'd never realized how fucking sexy Dane Clark was until now. Anyone who'd rather marry Ford than fuck Clark deserves all the unhappiness they can manage. (Also, keep your eye out for the visible tarp in the boating scene. It's beautiful.)
Despite a somewhat misleading title and cable guide synopsis, this wasn't bad. The buildup to the action (as much action as you can expect from a 40s Warner Bros melodrama) took too long and a window to do something really interesting was sadly missed. In the plus column, Bette Davis was great in the dual role even if it was mostly forgettable dramatic schlock.
