Fathers and Sons (Italian: Padri e figli and also known as A Tailor’s Maid) is a 1957 Italian comedy film directed by Mario Monicelli. At the 7th Berlin International Film Festival Monicelli won the Silver Bear for Best Director award.

The machine to make films in its most perfect and crystallized executability: exemplary actors, script perfectly constructed, "competent" and invisible directing. As the society that's portrayed, with well-behaved joy, also the film does not go beyond the traditional exemplarity. A hassle. Despite the colorful still, the film is in black and white, a beautiful cinematography by Leonida Barboni.
