    An intriguing giallo. The reveal is hardly a shock but there's a nice atmospheric build up and a great soundtrack.

There are two kinds of gialli: the urban gialli drawing a large part of their inspiration from iconic cities (Venice, London, Milan, Chattanooga) and gialli taking place in confined places (churches, mansions, schools, olive groves). Here, in this giallo inspired by Agatha Christie's 'And Then, There Were None', the whole action takes place in a castle. And the film is a MUST for any giallo fan. A discovery.

    Though it takes awhile to get to any actual killings, the ennui & decadent atmosphere is the utter definition of European cool
