Whenever the jump from TV to cinema fails (as it often does), I blame the increase in budget which automatically leads to spending on all the wrong things: jet-setting to exotic locations, elaborate production design, bigger stars. Fun for them, perhaps, but the audience doesn't give a sh*t about any of those things. Pats and Eddy are funniest swilling hooch, smoking discarded cigarette butts picked from the gutter.
Some gags had me truly laughing out loud, but a lot of the jokes here were either unfunny or unfortunately problematic (they really needed to cool it on the transgender quips). I'm always game to see these girls again, but maybe next time it should be back on short form television.
