Absolute drivel, an incoherent mess from start to finish that fails to understand even the basics of film language. What has happened to Italian horror cinema? Just to name last years releases this is a travesty in light of Oculus, It Follows, The House At The End Of Time and The Babadook. 1 barely earned star.
A film that's all about its setting, and doesn't even try for story or characterization. Hell, even the first sign of plot doesn't come until 21 minutes in. Rather, it's an exercise in atmosphere, but in all honestly, mood and photography do not a good film make. The saying style over substance is overused, but here style is the only thing existent. I stopped caring 1/2 way through and it was hard to pay attention.
