A compelling portrait of Putin’s systematic attempts to compromise western democracy. Still, Bryan packs so much info under 2 hours that it becomes a constant assault on the senses. Worse, the fireworks that come with it — pounding score; crazy color schemes; bombastic editing — make the film come across as propaganda. AM is an important film, but it would've been more effective if it had been conceptualized for TV.
