Ratings & Reviews

  1. Sean Patrick Stevens's rating of the film Adrift

Audience manipulation replacing depth of character reminiscent of some putrid melodrama from the 40's.

  2. chazell's rating of the film Adrift

searching this it appears there is a wide variety of films with the same title that are probably much much better than 96 minutes of crying then not crying then crying then not crying- the constant switching from past to present is e x hausting. the twist, gutting and the fact she has immaculate nails despite being stranded in the sea, frustrating.

  3. msmichel's rating of the film Adrift

Despite it's strong 'star' turn by Shailene Woodley and exceptional photography by Robert Richardson this 'man vs. nature' or in this case 'woman' falls pretty flat. The main problem is its main so-called twist which pretty much ruins the picture even with its fragmented structure. This could have been so much more and instead winds up only serviceable.

  4. Steve Pulaski's rating of the film Adrift

Shailene Woodley is too good to *still* being doing merely serviceable films like this, and Sam Claflin isn't half-bad, especially considering here's working alongside a scene-stealer. "Adrift" succeeds in evoking the helplessness of the couple's situation in a light but marginally intense manner. The perilous moments outweigh the romantic ones, yet competent directing and versatile cinematography rescue it.
