Ratings & Reviews

  1. Diderot's rating of the film Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer

And she's still sold as a serial killer. Look what Ryan Murphy did to her last year in American Horror Story.

  2. Jason's rating of the film Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer

Broomfield is best when he is able to get out of his own way. He is not a wise guide. He is immoderately beholden to his own illusions and self-importance. What he is able to do, however, is ingratiate himself into situations others employing less dubious means would be unable to access. His best movies, of which "The Selling of a Serial Killer" is one, exist in spite of, rather than because of, his better interests.

  3. mjgildea's rating of the film Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer

3 1/2 out of 5 stars. Having seen Broomfield's follow up to this prior threw me off a bit but the overexcited nonsense surrounding Wuornos' trial is nearly as horrific as the crimes she committed. Broomfield's documentary serves as proof that Florida is one of the most fucked up places on the planet and is also chock full of wholesale creepers (Arlene Pralle and he deranged Steve Glazer.) Scary shit...

  4. Adam Whybray's rating of the film Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer

everyone gets their meat hooks in

  5. Nosada's rating of the film Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer

A good documentary and companion to Monster.
