What are people saying?

  • francisca bacon's rating of the film Alae

Not my dearest Schwartz short film, but the visual fabric recalls Roman Vishniac’s experimentation with photomicroscopy, esp. the portrait of his daughter Mara taken thru a firefly’s compound eye, in which the many ommatidia break down the image in a bathroom glass fashion (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d8/VishniacFirefly.gif). "Alae" is tense with triangles that crochet birds in (non)figurative flight.
