Was expecting a better performance from Ellen Page. Don't get me wrong, Ellen is a very good actress, but i didnt feel her so intense on it. Dont know if it s because the movie is less harsher than what really happened in real life, still hard to watch tho. But to me, is Catherine keener who delivers the power to Everything and in the end you only think about Silvia and how could she have been happy...:/
Keener in an uncharacteristic role that almost comes close to something like Sachiko Hidari in "The Insect Woman" though the film skirts too easily into knee-jerk polarization of the abusers and the abused, giving up the chance at perhaps an insightful view on a case that, like that of Kitty Genovese, had much to do with the actions and inactions of others.
