  1. dionysus67's rating of the film And Satan Calls the Turns

With an opening sequence that established bourgeois waste with impetus and bravura, Dabat's film uses St.Tropez for his indictment on haute bourgeoisie's dolce vita. All the symptoms are here: nihilism, boredom, wealth's immoral sources and love's suffering as a bourgeois disease. Perrin and Deneuve are charming and the film features a stunningly ironic anti-'La Terra Trema' scene of a night party. Recommended.

  2. Raymond Likes Subtitles's rating of the film And Satan Calls the Turns

Pretty standard post Nouvelle Vague French bourgeoisie erotic chamber piece which ends in tragedy. It drags its self above the average with a good cast including the radiant Catherine Deneauve.
