Ratings & Reviews

  1. Mario Tomchev's rating of the film Animal Love

It even has the younger Bruno S. and a Sinatra pug.. what a world indeed...

  2. FISCHER's rating of the film Animal Love

  3. Il secondo maestro del revolver's rating of the film Animal Love

  4. Sara Castro's rating of the film Animal Love

Vou tão ser a senhora com 10 cães num apartamento.

  5. Francis Deckhaunt's rating of the film Animal Love

The dog running on the treadmill was the most disturbing thing!

  6. Karthik's rating of the film Animal Love

I couldn't stand it. High camera angles, casting choices (walleyes as symptomatic of what? human decadence?) all bring out the grotesque in humans in a facile misanthropic automatism. Most scenes are as delicately symbolic as a punch (mem walking dogs in tight circles in wastelands) all shot (prettily) in gloomy gloaming. The satire & the corrosive 'objectivity' are entirely unearned through struggle or vision.

  7. Redundant Cinema's rating of the film Animal Love

Ulrich Seidl is one of the best minds working in cinema today.

  8. Andrew Lang's rating of the film Animal Love

The tracking shot where the man is showing us round his house and opens the garage door to reveal a dog on a treadmill is one of the greatest shots in film. FACT

  9. Ultra Kebab's rating of the film Animal Love

thanks for the new still. it's perfect.

  10. herb shellenberger's rating of the film Animal Love

  11. Øyvind Rype's rating of the film Animal Love

Basically a series of isolated tableuxs depicting the dysfunctional pet owners of Austria and showcasing animal/human-relationship gone too far. On paper, or rather the dvd cover the movie is indeed promising. Unfortunately with a 2hr runtime Seidl is bound to repeat himself and it suffers from way too much filler material. There is undoubtedly some gold here but it's regretably buried in dog excrements. **

  12. Miki Brunou's rating of the film Animal Love

I would like to rate this as a one-star film, just because it is so overtly blunt and one-dimensional. Almost like a propaganda film or a piece of pornography. However, there were a couple of stupendous and truly revealing scenes which made it stand out from the usual rubbish.
