Ratings & Reviews

  1. Creighton Blinn's rating of the film Bad Girl

The screenplay takes some shortcuts in places (and bits of Dunn's early rants about gender don't date too well) but the stars make up for it with their performances. As always Borzage lends the whole endeavor his natural romanticism . . .

  2. VincentVendetta's rating of the film Bad Girl

Maybe I should give King Vidor's The Crowd another shot...

  3. Matt Reddick's rating of the film Bad Girl

James Dunn is like an illiterate woody allen character. Great screenplay.

  4. Daniel S.'s rating of the film Bad Girl

The alchemy between James Dunn and Sally Eilers works pretty well here. Recommended.

  5. El Biffo's rating of the film Bad Girl

Don't be fooled by the title. perhaps trying to capitalize on the box-office trend of "naughty" pre-code talkies-there's nothing bad in this film, and as usual, you can count on Frank Borzage to pull on the heartstrings, but good. The acting is a bit stiff; this one doesn't have the star power of Street Angel, 7th Heaven, or A Farewell to Arms, but it is still very good. I'm never disappointed by a Borzage picture.

  6. lauli's rating of the film Bad Girl

Nice performances, but I'm up to my ears in sugar right now.
