haha, one of the best sex-scene ever.

  6. mjgildea's rating of the film Bad Words

While Bad Words had a fair amount of bite (namely where Bateman blasts Rachel Harris in the restaurant), unfortunately it never really breaks the skin. Too raunchy to be a kids' movie and too tepid for memorable adult fare. Kathryn Hahn, a great soundtrack and the fact that it didn't take more than 90 minutes disappoint are the highlights but for as short as the script fell, Bateman made a decent directorial debut.

  7. Maria Eugênia Gonçalves's rating of the film Bad Words

  8. Kamran's rating of the film Bad Words

BAD WORDS: besides a few funny moments, this film is nothing but tawdry, contrived, substanceless humour. Ketchup as a period? 33/100 - Awful.

  9. Film Aficionerdo's rating of the film Bad Words

This was a pleasant surprise. There's nothing fantastic to write home about, but I didn't expect Bateman's directorial debut to be nearly this entertaining. The ending stumbles but the 80 minute journey there is worthwhile.

  10. Endless Eye's rating of the film Bad Words

Jason Bateman is usually very funny, and this film has moments, but his character never feels remotely believable, leaving little to be redeemed, even from what should be a feel-bad-laugh-out-loud comedy.

  11. Evan Schafer's rating of the film Bad Words

For this viewer to laugh at a film the way I laughed at "Bad Words", there has to be some incredibly hysterical material. What I did like, though -- aside from Bateman's irreverent character study -- is the softness of the friendship between him and a young Indian boy who is also competing in the spelling bee. It is a laughing riot that deserves to be seen, and this one definitely has my stamp of approval. See it!

  12. msmichel's rating of the film Bad Words

A mixed bag unfortunately. The film either needed to be marketed in a 'School of Rock' fashion to connect with an audience or be far filthier a la' 'Bad Santa' to become a real cult flick. Instead this film wants it both ways and doesn't succeed at either. Mind you Bateman is fun here and Rohan Chand is a real fine. But best in show is Kathryn Hahn offering up another great turn. '...don't look at me...'

  13. Mathias Palmberg's rating of the film Bad Words

Really liked this one! A very assured directorial debut from Bateman who also turns in a fine perfromance as the proverbial asshole of the story. The movie has a nice blend of real life grit and laughs making this an enjoyable dramedy which rises above the rest thanks to the interesting story and fine acting. And the inclusion of Smashing Pumpkins' song Snail didn't hurt a bit...

te uma boa edição e um roteiro com um arco convincente, a história e os personagens são bem montados, mas não é um filme que vá mudar sua concepção de qualquer coisa que seja. ainda assim recomendo ainda mais pelos dois personagens principais que são apaixonantes

  16. dave gunn's rating of the film Bad Words

It was funny. That little boy is darn adorable.

  17. Ethan's rating of the film Bad Words

A hilariously fucked up movie about a man coming to terms with his wasted life. Jason Bateman is brilliant in this and not a bad directorial debut for him either.

  18. Carlos Filipe Freitas's rating of the film Bad Words

Too childish to be valued by adults, and too inappropriate to be seen by kids. (1.5 stars)

  19. FCC 86's rating of the film Bad Words

  20. Cody Hoskins's rating of the film Bad Words

Jason Bateman goes a great length to make his humor profanely hilarious and his character incredibly unlikable that we cringe and laugh at how dirty-minded and self-serving this guy really is, but we still can't like him despite the reasons behind his agenda. A raunchy delight but not as thought-provoking as it tries to be at looking through the mind of an ego-maniacal jerk.

  21. Joe Hackman's rating of the film Bad Words

Funny and entertaining, but not a great film by any means.
