Our take

Prior to making waves with Never Rarely Sometimes Always, Eliza Hittman directed this sensual and assured coming-of-age story. Winner of the Directing Award at Sundance, Beach Rats stars Harris Dickinson (Triangle of Sadness) as a Brooklyn teenager imbued with vulnerability and quiet yearning.
