Going back to obnoxious artists: Fuck these people. Only in the art world and maybe in a comics shop is acting like an asshole artiste teenager somewhat redeemable. Ugh. Just ugh. Oh my God grow the fuck up. You all draw in the same Fantagraphics friendly style anyway!
Highly inspirational and straight-forward made-from-the-heart film about a bunch of artists who collated in New York during the 1990s, and where they are now; older, maybe wiser and sharing their experiences and art, the documentary is at its best with Harmony Korine and Shepard Fairey. At worst, the documentary is haphazardly thrown together.
Some compelling people and ideas, but the assembled footage is put together rather haphazardly, so that there's no discernible arc and follow through, resulting in an unfocused, chaotic movie that's never as illuminating or inspiring as you wish it would be.
