Deepa Mehta, director of the 'Elemental' trilogy and 'Midnight's Children', goes well out of her comfort zone to film this tale about a Sikh gangster waging war on a rival. The film is clichéd to the point of near self parody and plods along with little interest and contains performances that seem to have only been given one personality trait each. A disappointment from one of Canada's best known directors.
