Synopsis

After Maj. William Allison pilots a test craft through a suborbital space-time wormhole, he returns to his base, only to discover that it’s 64 years later, a plague has decimated the planet, and the survivors have been rendered sterile.

A science fiction parable in the pulp magazine tradition and a one-act Jacobean tragedy played out against sets as vividly thin as the ones of Orson Welles’ MACBETH, this is a prime introduction to Ulmer’s doomed late period.
