[J. Brew Recommendations: Day 4/7] So on one hand I do like the movie for what it is. I admire that Jack Burton seems to simultaneously have no clue what he's doing and act like he knows exactly what he's doing. It's a type of bravado you don't see in many leading protagonists. As a fan of martial arts films though, the action is a bit subpar; if you have such a wackjob plot, you need good action to make up for it.
