Trond Espen Seim make a charismatic, younger type of the private detective created by Gunnar Staalesen in an acceptable adaptation of the books. This one follow the novel pretty closely, but the best part of the film is the hate / love relationship between Veum and the P.I., Hamre (Floberg). Sadly, it is easy to see that this is a mass-produced product as it has a TV movie of the week feel than a pure film.
