Matthew Martens's rating of the film Black Mirror: Be Right Back

2.9. Extremely well-executed, as usual--in fact, the series' story-telling efficiency, impeccable acting, and high-sheen visuals align just-so with its prevailing themes of creeping emotional aversion and displacement in a year-next-door regime of commercialized virtuality. Everywhere you turn, your own private uncanny valley. But I suspect it gets (and not alone, cf. Westworld) the embodied AI-to-VR ratio all wrong.
