  1. HKFanatic's rating of the film Blast from the Past

This is one of the few times you'll hear me say this: I think "Blast from the Past" tends a little towards the unnecessarily dark - I doubt Christopher Walken's paranoid suburban dad needed to stumble upon heroin addicts and crossdressing prostitutes right out of the gate just to be frightened by the present. But here's another movie whose success relies on Brendan Fraser's effortless charm and comedic timing.

Simple and predictable, but with a disarming charm. A good movie for a lazy sunday afternoon. Brendan Fraser's finest moment.

Likable enough, and Christopher Walken adds to it as the father.
