Bernard Herrmann wrote the (dramatic) musical score. From a sociological point of view, the film is an interesting period piece. It stages the naive teens, the oblivious parents, the moralizing best friend, the disillusioned abortionist, the beginning of rock'n roll and a dead dog. Reserved to completists, movie lovers or nostalgic ones.
