  1. El Biffo's rating of the film Body Fever

In the 1960s, Hollywood films tanked & studios were shutting down, while B-movies like this made money. There's plenty of reasons why young audiences preferred films like this but the main one was that Hollywood was out of touch, while low-budget filmmakers had their fingers on the pulse. Hollywood learned from B-movies & foreign films and the New Hollywood was born. https://mubi.com/lists/new-hollywood-b-movies-only

  2. ZYNAB's rating of the film Body Fever

crime drama through the eyes of ray dennis steckler...dreamlike, sentimental, highly personal. 2/3 of the film is him just wandering around asking countless people where a certain cat burglar (his wife, carolyn brandt) can be found...and then he finds her simply by knocking on the door of her apartment. there is so much joy in ray dennis' dingy los angeles.
