What are people saying?

  • mpho3's rating of the film Booker's Place: A Mississippi Story

Co-produced by Wright's granddaughter, De Felitta's moving film about his father's 1965 NBC piece on Southern race relations juxtaposes winds of cultural change against the morality of filming what might endanger lives. The comments Booker Wright bravely made in '65 are tame by today's standards but were ill-received by Whites to dire consequence. Mr. Wright was not oblivious; giving him a voice honored his courage.
