Ratings & Reviews

  1. Ghostman's rating of the film Bowfinger

One of the funniest & most incisive Hollywood films about Hollywood. About a failing filmmaker trying to make a film with the world's biggest movie star without his consent, Bowfinger manages to rip on almost every aspect of filmmaking and showbiz. Bowfinger is a fine, sharp satire with a nice gentle touch to make all the brutal stings at Hollywood go down easy.

  2. bryanvmh's rating of the film Bowfinger

Welcome to MindHead, Welcome to MindHead, Welcome to MindHead

  3. Filipe F. Coutinho's rating of the film Bowfinger

It aged really well, and it's actually one of the sharpest satires ever made about the film industry.

  4. Jon B's rating of the film Bowfinger

Deserves another half a star for Martin.

  5. Blumes's rating of the film Bowfinger

Eddie Murphy's best performance[s] in the last 20 years.

  6. Spencer Neale's rating of the film Bowfinger

  7. chanandre's rating of the film Bowfinger

"There, there...there's the door" LMFAO. I loved how magical an idea it was the concept that all films basically cost 6.000 $ (6 grand!). That is adorable. That was somewhere between micro-budget and no-budget film. And it was so funny.

  8. C.B.L.S's rating of the film Bowfinger

Love the dog in heels bit.

  9. Nick McGaw's rating of the film Bowfinger

Probably the most ambitious comedy Steve Martin has done in the past twenty years, which is pretty sad. For a funny, smart, talented guy, he didn't have the film career I thought he deserved. This was one of those let's put on a show stories, and after 90 minutes of rushing around, everyone sits down to watch the story they made...and it looks like crap. It makes you wonder why the characters bothered.

  10. Jaspar Lamar Crabb's rating of the film Bowfinger

Hilarious and with Eddie Murphy's very best performance(s)

  11. Henrique Amud's rating of the film Bowfinger

The last time i've laughed watching Eddie Murphy for the right reasons. He's pretty good and Steve Martin is very underrated for this performance. I just wished his screenplay and Frank Oz direction wouldn't be so poorly constructed in some places. This could have been just as good as something like Tropical Thunder.

  12. your fiend mr. jones's rating of the film Bowfinger

The last funny Eddie Murphy film. Not counting Dreamgirls, of course.
