  1. Rafael Zen's rating of the film Brazil: A Report on Torture

I think Maria Auxiliadora Lara Barcelos will haunt me forever with that striking look, as if saying: it's a laughable joke as a horrible truth. The tortures described are so disgusting that even hearing about it made me squinch my eyes and shiver. What a breathtaking experience to hear about that time with such freshness: they had just arrived in Santiago - escaping brazilian dictatorship. Truly moving.

  2. mad.lucas's rating of the film Brazil: A Report on Torture

Morbid curiosity: Maria Auxiliadora commited suicide in Berlim five years after this film was released due to the drastic consequences of her torture process.

  3. Matt Reddick's rating of the film Brazil: A Report on Torture

Very hard to watch - intense and disturbing descriptions of torture by the military and police, with about 300 or so trained in the US at Fort Benning, The School of the Americas where they received “theoretical and practical lessons on torture." - from the recent Brazilian Commission on Torture

  4. Schyler Hopkins's rating of the film Brazil: A Report on Torture

    It's real, Haskell; never again.
