Fast and concise propaganda film that, according to its period, combines a triggered message (literally, in this case) to a geometric frame composition and a constructive editing, which is simultaneously abstract, in its artistic component (varying rhythms and perspectives), and also concise, in the effectiveness of its ideological discourse, both aspects interconnected. Another masterpiece of early Soviet.
I feel great pity for the director who has to make a film about the struggle for collective farming. These movies, wow, what style, what effort to jazz up such dull topic! - yet still, paeans to collective farming, what can you do, it's just outstandingly boring stuff.
