'HOME, I have no home...' Classic 'so bad it's good' pic from director Wood elevated into camp classic because its just so much fun to watch. Completely inept on every level yet along with glenda and plan 9 a film one does come back to watch again and again. Go figure. Lugosi elevates the picture with a performance so earnest one thinks he didn't even realize how far he had sank. Best rubber tentacles ever.
Though the film is no doubt as dreadful as most would suggest, Lugosi's 'Atomic Supermen' speech is easily one of my favourite pieces of film dialogue ever written. Admittedly, Lugosi's delivery of it is nowhere near as moving as Martin Landau's in 'Ed Wood', but it's still a remarkable piece of writing.
